The "Seniors" week offers young people a tantalising smorgasbord of choice. Dive into the world of C# and conquer Windows forms, master the art of game design with Unity, or unravel the mysteries of Python's logic – five specialised workshops, each brimming with potential to turn curiosity into mastery. No matter their tech taste, your child will find a week-long adventure tailor-made to ignite their passion and equip them with skills that will last a lifetime.
Coding in C#
This workshop will introduce students to the C# programming language using Visual Studio 2022. This workshop assumes no prior knowledge of C#.
Using 'console' applications within Visual Studio, students will learn key skills and concepts including primitive data and reference types, basic input/output statements, string manipulation, loops and selection, collections (lists and arrays), methods and objects/classes.

Programming in Python
This workshop will intoduce students to the Python programming language using IDLE, Python's development IDE.
Using IDLE, students will learn key skills and concepts including data types, functions, string manipulation, condition and flow control statements, lists and classes.
Over the course of the week, students will attempt to develop a quiz application to help consolidate their understanding of the language and IDLE, the development environment.

Introduction to Coding Technologies
Are you interested in a few of our workshops but unable to choose between them? Why not have them all as part of our Introduction to Coding Technologies class.
This year we are offering young people the opportunity to experience the full range of programmable technologies, providing both a varied and engaging programme or opportunities to embed key concepts and skills over the course of the week:
- Minecraft
- BBC Microbit
- App Inventor
- Python
- Scratch
Each day students begin afresh using different tech to consolidate their understanding of fundamental programming concepts.
This programme is particularly suited to students relatively new to programming and who would like to try a number of different technologies.
This workshop package represents a significant saving over purchasing the individual workshops.

C# Games Development in Unity
Using the powerful Unity, students on this workshop will learn how to develop a basic game using assets provided within the software.
Unity is primarily programmed using C# and therefore students attending this workshop will also learn key concepts within the C# programming language as well including:
- Data types;
- Local and global variables;
- Looping and selection mechanisms;
- Methods;
- Classes and Objects;
